By signing up for a YMCA membership, the member receives a great number of benefits. Some of the benefits include discounts on YMCA courses, fitness consultations by certified trainers, open gym times, pool use during scheduled times, and much more! Not only do you get great benefits, but you also get to be a part of the YMCA family.

Adult Membership (18+ years)

• Use of State-of-the-Art Fitness Centre

Teen Membership (13-17 years)

  (Provided Appropriate Training Has Taken Place)

Youth Membership (0-12 years)

• Two Youth/Preschool Programs and One Swim Lesson Per Session
• Use of Pool During Specified Swim Times
• Drop-In Sports/Open Gym Time

Facility Enhancement Fee

A non-refundable Facility Enhancement Fee of $80.00 per 2-adult family, $50.00 per single-adult family, $21.50 per Teen Membership or $20.00 per Youth Membership is required on joining. If the membership is canceled and restarted, the Facility Enhancement Fee must be paid again.

Family Discount

The first adult pays full fee and there is a 30% discount for each additional family member. Fees are charged to a maximum of 4 family members. Additional family members are added at no charge.

Family Memberships are for couples and for parents/guardians and their dependent children.

Great Value & Convenient Payments

Your annual YMCA membership offers great value! Members can pay the whole fee on joining (Cash, Cheque, Interac or Visa/Mastercard) or some find it more convenient to use our pre-authorized payment plan.

A 10% fee applies to all new continuous memberships purchased on the pre-authorized payment plan. These contracts are automatically renewed unless you inform us in writing to cancel your membership and return your membership card.

Visiting Other YMCA Centres

All YMCAs in Canada provide guest privileges to members of other YMCAs in the equivalent membership category, regardless of fee equivalency. It is to be understood however, that each YMCA may limit the number of visits planned.

Assisted Membership

The YMCA of North Bay and District is a registered charity, committed to the personal development of body, mind and spirit, to “Bring quality to life” through social services, youth programs, childcare, counseling, camping, international programs, fitness, health and recreation.

The YMCA serves all members of the community, regardless of race, age, sex, creed or economic circumstances. The YMCA offers financial assistance that is designed to fit each individual’s financial situation.
